Back in 1998, PAWS Chicago founders Paula and Alexis Fasseas and a group of passionate volunteers brought stray pets from Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), the city impoundment facility, to storefronts across Gold Coast, and it launched a movement—Angels with Tails, a homeless pet adoption event for the whole community.

Today, the tradition lives on with our Angels with Tails adoption events that travel from neighborhood to neighborhood, engaging new advocates in this lifesaving mission. Your favorite boutiques will open their storefronts to adoptable dogs, cats, puppies and kittens. Bring the whole family for this fun-filled community event where you can meet—and adopt—adorable animals, shop for a cause, and enjoy special festivities!
