Ways to Donate
Our shelter is 100% volunteer-run and we rely on donations from people just like you in order to keep operating. The easiest way to donate is through our online form, where you can make a one-time or recurring gift.
You can also give directly to our Crisis Boarding or HopeRx programs, which aim to keep cats in their current homes through transitional housing and medical needs.
Prefer to give cash or check? You can mail it to our shelter at 525 W Roosevelt Rd, Wheaton, IL 60181 or drop it off during our open hours (Saturdays 12 – 4 pm and Tuesdays 6 – 9 pm). For checks, please make the check out to “St. Sophia’s Forgotten Felines”

If you have items you would like to donate, you can drop them off at the shelter or ship them to 525 W Roosevelt Rd, Wheaton, IL. Our shelter is open during our open adoption hours, which are Saturdays at 12 – 4 pm and Tuesdays from 6 – 9 pm.
Becoming a member allows us to have consistent support that allows us to say ‘yes’ to as many cats as we can. We have two kinds of memberships: monthly and yearly. The Rescue Corps is our monthly membership that starts at just $10/month and helps us cover essentials such as food, medical care, and safe housing for our cats. The Nine Lives Society is our annual membership that provides long-term stability to our shelter and allows us to take in cats in crisis.
Donating your time is just as important to getting cats into their forever homes! We have a variety of volunteer opportunities, from cat caretaking at our shelter or store partnerships to social media, photography, fundraising, event planning, and so much more! Do you have a skill you’d like to share but aren’t sure it would be helpful for us? Reach out to us!
We also always looking for foster homes. Our shelter only holds a few dozen cats at a time—the majority of the cats in our care are in foster homes. As a foster, we supply you with everything you need to care for your foster cat(s) and cover medical care through our vet partners. In addition to endless kitten cuddles, you will join a wonderful community of fellow fosters. We are always in need of foster homes for kittens under 3 months, special needs cats, cats on special diets or medications that make shelter life difficult, shy/scared cats, and senior babies.
However you support us, know that you are saving the lives of cats. We could not do this work without the support of our community, both near and far.
